The Emerald Valley Paranormal Cadet (EVPC) group was founded in 2007 along side the Emerald Valley Paranormal (EVP) parent group. EVP and EVPC found that there were a lot of teenagers in our area that either had experiences they couldn't explain like ourselves, or they were just interested in the paranormal in and of itself. The parent group decided that instead of explaining it all away, they would be truthful and educate us and them in a responsible manner. Thus, the cadet group was born.

EVPC found the answers to our questions through scientific investigating, research, and some basic common sense. We discovered that the paranormal world was to be greatly respected, but it wasn't something we had to live in fear of.

EVPC does roughly 4 major investigations a year with monthly training session in between. We also work hand- in- hand with the parent group going over the evidence they collect on their investigations. This gives us the chance to learn all aspects of the process as well as keeping the parent group up to date on our progress and keying them in to where we might need more training.

EVPC uses the same equipment that the parent group uses.  We do not use anything that has not been pre approved by the parent group. Our investigations usually last until 11pm and the parent group is always with us to offer assistance, keep us safe, and get us out of the investigation area if things become a little too heated. EVPC is NOT allowed to provoke in any way. We are NOT allowed to ask a presence to touch us or interact with us physically. Every member has a key job to perform and they are trained in that role as well as others. EVPC will only investigate a location that the parent group has investigated and considers safe. We do not do cold investigations which means we do not go to a location that has never been set foot on. EVPC consist of a leader, investigators, and a parent group member. The parent group member is not there to investigate, they are there to document the cadets only while offering instruction and assistance if needed.

If you are interested in joining EVPC or would like information please contact:

Heather Hammond; EVPC Coordinator at:  heather@emeraldvalleyparanormal.org.

A new member will only be allowed on an investigation AFTER the parent group has met and interviewed the cadet and their parents, the proper paperwork has been filled out and the cadet has gone through the proper training.

Cadet enrollment does not mean Parent enrollment.

EVP and EVPC are two separate teams.
